Policy acknowledgement software
Policy acknowledgement that stands up to scrutiny.
Most policy tools were built for office staff with a laptop and an inbox. SkySign is built for people on shifts, on the ramp and in the terminal, and records exactly what each of them confirmed, in the words you chose.

Choose the statement
Say exactly what staff are confirming.
| Statement | Staff confirm | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Read & understood | “I confirm that I have read and understood this document.” | Policies and information: code of conduct, data protection, fatigue policy. |
| Read & comply | “I confirm that I have read and understood this procedure and agree to comply with its requirements.” | Procedures staff must follow, such as a revised turnaround, fuelling or de-icing procedure. |
| Briefing acknowledgement | “I confirm that I have received and understood this briefing.” | Safety bulletins, station notices and operational briefings. |
| Training acknowledgement | “I confirm that I have completed the required training material.” | Refresher material and self-study packs. |
For staff
Three actions, on any device.
- 1Step 1
Open
From the email link, or from My Documents after signing in. Urgent items are listed first. - 2Step 2
Read
The document opens in the browser. For PDFs, acknowledgement unlocks a few seconds after it opens. - 3Step 3
Confirm
Tick the statement, type their full name and press the button, which is labelled for what they’re confirming.
The record
What is kept, and who can change it.
Each acknowledgement stores the exact acknowledgement statement accepted, the name the person typed, a server timestamp, the SHA-256 fingerprint of the document as issued, how they signed in, their IP address and browser, and any knowledge-check result.
Nobody can edit a record once it is made: not the employee, not an administrator. Deleting a document permanently deletes its records too, so deactivate superseded policies instead.

Keeping policies current
When a policy changes.
Issue the revision as a new document
Everyone acknowledges the new text, and earlier records stay against the earlier file.
Deactivate the old one
It stops asking for acknowledgement. Administrators keep its records and exports.
New starters catch up
People added to a group see every active document assigned to it.
Worth knowing
- Statements are the four standard wordings; you can’t yet write your own.
- Staff can’t decline or comment on a document: they acknowledge it, or it stays outstanding.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can we write our own acknowledgement statement?
Not yet. Choose the closest of the four standard statements. The exact wording shown is stored on every record.
Is a typed name a signature?
It is an acknowledgement: the typed name is tied to the signed-in account, a server timestamp and the document’s fingerprint. Whether that satisfies a particular legal requirement is for your organisation and its advisers to decide.
Can an administrator acknowledge on an employee’s behalf?
No. Each person acknowledges for themselves, signed in to their own account.
What if we change the statement after issuing?
People who acknowledge from then on accept the new statement. Records already made keep the statement that was shown at the time.
