SOP acknowledgement software
SOP changes, understood — not just clicked.
An SOP acknowledgement is only as good as the understanding behind it. SkySign pairs read-and-comply wording with an optional knowledge check, so staff show they know what changed before they confirm they will follow it.

The playbook
Running an SOP revision in SkySign.
- 1Step 1
Identify what changed
List the two or three points that differ from the last revision. They become your questions. - 2Step 2
Issue to a small group
Issue the revision as a new document with read-and-comply wording to a small group, such asRamp Trainers. - 3Step 3
Add the knowledge check
On the document’s edit page: up to 20 multiple-choice questions, a pass mark, and whether staff must pass before acknowledging. - 4Step 4
Assign the wider groups
From Assignments, add the station and department groups. They are emailed, and the check applies to them. - 5Step 5
Follow up
Nudge anyone outstanding, and talk to anyone who keeps failing the questions.
Setting the rules
Choosing knowledge-check settings.
| Setting | Effect | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Pass mark (%) | The score needed to pass. | Always. With three questions, 100% means every point was understood. |
| Allow retry if failed | Wrong answers are marked and the person can try again. | Most SOP changes, where the aim is understanding rather than a test. |
| Must pass before acknowledging | Acknowledgement stays locked until they pass. | Safety-critical changes. Leave retries on. |
The record
The result travels with the acknowledgement.
When someone passes and acknowledges, their pass or fail, score and attempt number are stored with the acknowledgement and shown on their certificate, beside the statement they accepted: “I confirm that I have read and understood this procedure and agree to comply with its requirements.”
Answers are marked on SkySign’s server. The correct answers are never sent to staff devices.

Writing questions
Questions that test the change.
Ask about what changed
Not general knowledge: the new limit, the new step, the step that was removed.
Three to five is enough
Short checks get finished on shift.
Make wrong answers plausible
The previous procedure is often the best wrong answer.
Worth knowing
- Questions are multiple choice with one correct answer.
- A check is added after a document is issued, not while you issue it.
- If a check is required and retries are off, someone who fails can’t acknowledge until the check is switched off.
- Results appear on certificates, not in the CSV or PDF exports.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can staff see the correct answers?
No. Answers are marked on the server and the correct answers are never sent to their device. If retries are allowed, the questions they got wrong are marked.
Can I change the questions after people have answered?
Yes. Saving replaces the question set, and earlier attempts are kept against the old questions.
Do administrators take the check?
No. When an administrator acknowledges a document themselves, the check isn’t applied.
Run your next SOP change with a knowledge check.
Bring the change. We’ll help you write three questions and issue it in the demo.
