Set up a check
- 1Open the document’s edit pageOn Documents, open the ⋮ menu for the document and choose Edit.
- 2Turn the check onIn Knowledge check (optional), switch on Require a knowledge check for this document.
- 3Write the questionsAdd question for each one (1 to 20), with 2 to 6 options each, and mark the correct answer.
- 4Set the rulesSet the Pass mark (%) and choose Allow retry if failed and Must pass before acknowledging.
- 5SaveChoose Save knowledge check.
Ask about what has changed in the procedure rather than general knowledge. Three to five questions is usually enough.
What staff see
Staff answer the questions on the document page and choose Submit answers. Answers are marked on the server; the correct answers are never sent to their device. If they pass, they can acknowledge straight away. If they fail and retries are allowed, the questions they got wrong are marked and they can Try again.
Where results appear
The result — pass or fail, the score and the attempt number — is stored with the acknowledgement and shown on the acknowledgement certificate.
What this doesn’t do
- Questions are multiple choice with one correct answer. Free-text and multi-select questions are not supported.
- Results are not shown on the Audit page or in the CSV and PDF exports; they appear on each certificate.
- A check cannot be added while you issue the document, only afterwards.
