Read and acknowledge a document

You have been sent a document to read. Here is how to open it, confirm it and get back to work.

Last checked against the product on 7 October 2026

Open the document

Open the link in the email, or sign in and go to My Documents. Documents waiting for you are listed under Pending, with Urgent ones first and any that are Overdue marked. It works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer; there is nothing to install.

Read it

Read the whole document. For PDFs, the acknowledgement section unlocks a few seconds after the document opens. If a knowledge check is attached, answer the questions and choose Submit answers first — see below.

Acknowledge it

  1. 1
    Tick the statement
The box shows exactly what you are confirming, for example: “I confirm that I have read and understood this procedure and agree to comply with its requirements.”
  2. 2
    Type your full name
In Type your full name to confirm.
  3. 3
    Press the button
It is labelled for what you are confirming — for example Acknowledge or Acknowledge briefing.

You will see Document acknowledged. The statement, your typed name, the time and the document’s details are recorded, and you can open your certificate with View certificate.

Knowledge checks

Some documents ask a few questions before you can acknowledge. If you do not reach the pass mark, re-read the document; if retries are allowed, the questions you got wrong are marked and you can Try again. If not, speak to your manager.

Your history

Go to History to see everything you have acknowledged, with the name you typed, the date and time, and a Certificate for each one.

Still stuck? Email support@useskysign.com with the page you were on and what you expected to happen.

Questions

Common questions

I can’t find the document I was emailed about.

Check you are signed in with the same email address the message was sent to. If it has been withdrawn by your organisation, it no longer appears. Otherwise, ask your manager to check it was assigned to you.

Do I have to type my name exactly as it is on my account?

Type your full name as you normally would. It is recorded exactly as you type it, alongside your account details.
