Model your operation with groups

Groups are the teams you issue documents to. For a multi-station operation, name them by station and department so a bulletin can go to exactly the right people:

Example group structure
GroupWho is in it
LHR RampRamp agents and team leaders at Heathrow
LHR BaggageBaggage hall and make-up staff at Heathrow
MAN Passenger ServicesCheck-in and gate staff at Manchester
Station ManagementDuty and station managers across the network

A person can be in several groups. Issue a safety bulletin once to every group that needs it, and the dashboard and statistics show completion for each group side by side.

Create and manage groups

  1. 1
    Employee Groups → New group
Enter the Group name and choose Create group.
  2. 2
    Add members
On the group, choose Add, tick the people and choose Add N to group.
  3. 3
    Remove a member
Expand the group and use the × next to their name.
Station Management groups
Groups with “Station Management” in their name are listed first and pre-selected when you upload a document, so managers see everything their teams are sent.

The Airport field

Each person can also have an Airport code, such as LHR. It is used to filter the Users list and is shown as the station on certificates. Documents are routed by groups, not by the airport code.

What this doesn’t do

  • Groups are flat: each shows its own completion. SkySign does not yet roll groups up into regions or companies.
  • Groups cannot be renamed yet; create a new group and move people across.
  • Deleting a group takes effect immediately and removes its assignments.
